MAIN ISSUES:
  1. JOB SECURITY:

SUGGESTION AND SOLUTIONS
  • There should be a well elaborated system for job security. How would an individual join a system where one would work as a daily wager and can be removed from job without being given a reason. If such a strategy can improve quality of work the same system should be adopted for Judiciary, Police, Bureaucracy.  Why only Doctors and health sector?
  • There is a well established system based on US model by HEC which is also called as tenure track system . Where though the jobs are contractual, non pensionable but there is a well defined criteria for appointment, promotion and after a specified probation one can become tenured. The system is being adopted by King Edward Medical University as well as other non-medical universities.
  • The system offers better pays and job descriptions are very focused, with Pay package for professors grade range from 0.3 million to 0.5 million.

  • After a period of 6 years as probationary appointee candidates can either be promoted to next grade or TENURED in the same grade for a max of 15 years.
